Automations
Automations are AI-powered workflows that generate and publish content across your connected platforms. Each automation defines what content to create, where to publish it, and when to run.
Automation Types
QiQ Social offers five automation types across two categories:
Write Automations
Generate original content from a topic or prompt using AI.
| Type | Description | Publishes To |
|---|---|---|
| Generate Social Post | Turn a focus phrase into ready-to-publish social drafts | Social platforms |
| Generate Blog Post | Turn a focus phrase into a structured blog article | WordPress, Webflow |
RSS Automations
Transform RSS feed items into new content.
| Type | Description | Publishes To |
|---|---|---|
| Social Post from RSS | Convert each new RSS item into a social post | Social platforms |
| Blog Post from RSS | Convert each new RSS item into a full blog article | WordPress, Webflow |
| Blog Digest from RSS | Combine multiple RSS items into a single roundup post | WordPress, Webflow |
How Automations Work
Every automation follows a flow of steps:
- Trigger — What starts the automation (a schedule or a new RSS item)
- Process — How content is generated (AI generate from topic, or AI rewrite from RSS)
- Action — What happens with the content (publish to selected channels)
Common Configuration
All automations share these settings:
- Name — A label for the automation (optional)
- Channels — One or more connected channels to publish to (called “outputs”)
- Schedule — When the automation runs (see Scheduling)
- Auto-publish — When enabled, posts are published immediately. When disabled, posts are saved as drafts for manual review
- Labels — Color-coded tags for organization (see Labels)
Automation Lifecycle
- Create — Set up the automation with your desired configuration
- Run — Trigger manually or let the schedule run it
- Generate — AI creates content tailored to each output channel’s constraints
- Review (optional) — If auto-publish is off, review and edit the generated posts
- Publish — Content is sent to each connected channel
