Connect Discord using a Webhook URL. To set up:
- Open Discord and go to the channel’s settings
- Navigate to Integrations > Webhooks
- Click New Webhook and configure its name and avatar
- Copy the webhook URL
- Paste the URL in QiQ Social’s Discord connection form
Placement
Discord Channel
| Property | Constraint |
|---|---|
| Content | Up to 2,000 characters |
| Media | Up to 10 images (optional) |
| Embed | Title, description, and URL (optional) |
| Format | Markdown supported |
Rich Embeds
Discord messages can include a rich embed alongside the message text:
| Embed Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | The embed’s headline |
| Description | A longer text block within the embed |
| URL | A clickable link on the embed title |
Embeds appear as a visually distinct card below the message text, making them ideal for sharing articles or link previews.
Content Guidelines
- Markdown formatting — Discord supports bold, italic, strikethrough, code blocks, links, and more
- 2,000-character limit — Applies to the message text (embed content is separate)
- Embeds enhance visibility — Use embeds for structured content like article summaries
Notes
- Each webhook URL corresponds to a single Discord channel
- To post to multiple channels, create multiple webhook connections
- Webhook messages appear under the webhook’s configured name and avatar, not as a bot user
