AutomationsRSS to Social

Social Post from RSS

The Social Post from RSS automation converts new RSS feed items into social media posts. Each new item from your connected RSS sources triggers a separate post, optionally rewritten by AI.

How It Works

New RSS Item → AI Rewrite (optional) → Publish
  1. New RSS Item — A new entry appears in one of the automation’s connected RSS feeds
  2. AI Rewrite (optional) — AI rewrites the item’s content into a social media format
  3. Publish — The post is sent to your selected social channels

Configuration

RSS Sources

Connect one or more RSS feeds as sources. When new items appear in these feeds, they become available for processing. See RSS Feeds for details on adding sources.

Entry Approval

By default, new RSS items are processed automatically. You can enable manual approval to review entries before they are processed:

  • Auto-approve — New entries are processed immediately
  • Manual approval — Entries appear in Managing Entries where you can approve or reject them

Prompt (Optional)

When AI rewriting is enabled, provide a prompt to guide how the RSS content is transformed into social posts.

Examples:

  • “Summarize the key points in a tweet-friendly format”
  • “Create an engaging post that encourages readers to click the link”
  • “Rewrite in a professional tone suitable for LinkedIn”

Output Channels

Select social media channels to publish to. The same constraints apply as Generate Social Post — content is automatically tailored to each platform’s character limits and media requirements.

Auto-Publish

  • Enabled — Posts from new RSS items are published immediately
  • Disabled — Posts are saved as drafts for manual review

RSS Processing Flow

  1. QiQ Social periodically checks your RSS sources for new items
  2. New items create entries linked to this automation
  3. Entries are processed based on approval settings (auto or manual)
  4. For each approved entry, the automation generates a post per output channel
  5. Posts are either auto-published or saved as drafts based on your settings
